Weddings, Easter, Graduation, Oh My!

‘Tis the season for celebrations! In Charleston, S.C. we see every weekend from March through June–sometimes they occur on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We see the bride and groom out for a stroll down the cobble stone streets with photographer, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and occasionally a dog or two, in tow. There is as atmosphere of celebration hanging in the air. What better way to commemorate your BFF’s special day than with hand forged sterling silver made right here in the Holy City. Our silversmith Kaminer Haislip has several items that would fit the bill!

Easter is right around the corner and we have the perfect items for your Easter baskets. Francesco Lombardo is fascinated with the human form and spends most of his studio time perfecting his ability to capture it in all its forms. Along with these classically drawn figures Mr. Lombardo paints baby chicks, and we are glad that he does. “The chick paintings allude to life, beginnings, and create a unique sensation all their own,” Mr. Lombardo says about the series. “At the same time I feel it is important to always to have the chick paintings hung together, in their group. This created an enjoyable kind of tension, letting me see them as individuals and as their comfortable group at the same time.” 

Fast on the heels of Easter we will begin to celebrate college and high school graduations. Although my graduation was a very long time ago, I still have the silver goblet I was given to commemorate my college commencement along with the monogrammed silver cuff bracelet that is in constant rotation today. Ms. Haislip has everything you need to celebrate any occasion–from personalized cuff links to silver tumblers.
