Meet the Helena Fox Fine Art Team

Helena Fox, gallery owner, opened the gallery on the corner of Queen and Church Streets in 2003 representing several nationally known artists including native West Fraser. Ms. Fox was born in Sweden and spent her formative years between Europe and Canada, as a twenty something she moved to Costa Rica where she met the father of her children. It was from there that she moved to the lowcountry and changed her career focus from television and production to running a successful gallery. Now 20 years later HFFA boasts a roster and we are still going strong in downtown Charleston, just across Broad Street from where we started.

Carolyn Fraser, gallery director, began her career in the arts in the mid 90’s before switching gears entirely and going into food and beverage, specifically the kitchen. After many years in hospitality a return to Charleston began and return to the arts. Carolyn has been in her position with the gallery since 2017 and continues to work for our artists and clients alike to help find the perfect adornment for your walls.

We look forward to seeing you on Church Street soon.

Commissions

PAINTINGS

Many of our artists are available for commissions to help you find the particular size piece you are looking for. Each of our artists has a different way in which they tackle a commission, but the goal is always the satisfaction of the client. We know that purchasing fine art is an investment and we want to make sure that you are happy with your investment.

JEWELRY AND FUNCTIONAL

KAMINER HAISLIP

Ms. Haislip is available for commissions for wearable as well as functional art.

SARAH AMOS

Many of the pieces you see created by Sarah Amos are customizable for your needs. These are approached on an individual basis and are limited by the availability of the particular stones you are interested in. She also accepts commissions using your own stones.

ALL COMMISSIONS ARE BASED ON THE ARTISTS AVAILABILITY AND WILLINGNESS.

For further information on how the process works with any of our artists, please feel free to contact us through email or by phone.

Shipping

A few words on shipping.

Due to the varied nature of the artwork we have in our gallery, no two boxes are exactly the same. Some are oversize, some are nice and compact.

Because of this, we will need to package the artwork to get the overall size and then calculate shipping and insurance. Once we have calculated shipping costs, we will add to your invoice and process payment.

Estimated shipping costs (within the contiguous United States) to give you some idea of how much your purchase will cost to ship.

Most jewelry and small wares ship for between $10 and $50 (Sarah Amos jewelry has a higher cost for insurance due to the cost to replace)

Reproductions ship for between $35 and $65

Paintings with overall dimensions of 8 x 10 inches to 20 x 24 inches ship for under $100

Paintings over 40 inches width or height may have to be shipped freight.

Anything that needs to be shipped by crate will cost at least $300.00

Keep in mind that the price of the artwork does change the shipping cost due to insurance.

We regularly use FedEx for domestic shipping and DHL for international shipping. All shipments are sent adult signature required. If you prefer a different method, please let us know.

Please feel free to contact us with any shipping questions.
