Two English Roses

“In February my thoughts turn to all things roses. It’s no surprise that the rose is said to be the masterpiece of all flowers, and the national flower in England and the U.S. Known not only for its beauty, but laden with much symbolism. Thorns and roses – the beauty and struggles of life…
I was particularly drawn to these English roses because of their soft, delicate layers of petals. The right lighting was very important because I wanted the eye to delve deep into the center of the first rose, while casting a little mystery on its companion.” -artist Patt Baldino
