Mary Erickson – Morning Glory, Tourrettes

Travel is an important part of most plein air painters yearly plans and we are all the better for it. Following in the tradition of artists such as Winslow Homer and Thomas Cole, Mary Erickson seeks to depict a sense of place in her artwork. Over several weeks during two separate trips to Provence to catch the poppy bloom, we believe she did just that. Burst of Colors: An Artists Odyssey in Provence is a culmination of these travels highlighting her work as well as that of her travel companions, D. Eleinne Basa, John Caggiano and Susan Lynn.
