Another installment in the saga of the Marchioness and the Exiles.
“One day, as Teresa was entertaining the possums with a melody of her own invention, a small dog appeared at the water’s edge. This was a very pretty dog indeed! Later, as she carried the creature from one admirer to the next, a hired man told he the animal was a ‘techichi’ and had likely strayed from its far desert home. He added that it would be good served with rice and roasted corn, but the Marchioness had no intention of eating her new favorite. Instead she dressed the dog in fine fabrics and hung pearls around its tiny neck.” Mr. Julyan Davis
