“One of the fortunate things about living in the Northeast is being able to enjoy the four seasons. As the Summer colors slowly fade, Fall is waiting in the wings for the next act. The landscape changes into a beautiful combination of reds, gold and orange. Inspired by this palette, I couldn’t resist painting these juicy, golden pears just coming into season. And this sweet Chaffinch finds the perfect spot to rest before moving on to his next destination. I used the same shade of auburn from the Chaffinch to accent the gold of the pears.
